Full Description
Medewi is known for long, slow-breaking left-handers rolling in off the Indian Ocean, a very different wave from the fast beach breaks of the south. The length of the ride is the draw, and the mellow pace makes it especially popular with longboarders and intermediate surfers rather than beginners.
The break works over a rocky bottom, so reef boots are worth having. The surrounding village is quiet and undeveloped compared to Canggu or Kuta, with a handful of small warungs and surf camps serving the regulars who make the trip out west.
