overview

Perched on dramatic cliffs above Jimbaran Bay, AYANA Resort Bali is the flagship property within the 90-hectare AYANA Bali estate, alongside AYANA Segara Bali, RIMBA by AYANA Bali, and AYANA Villas Bali. Ocean-view and garden-view rooms pair traditional Balinese design with contemporary comfort, and the resort is best known for Rock Bar, its cliffside sunset lounge overlooking the Indian Ocean.

Wellness is a centrepiece: guests can float in a seawater thalassotherapy pool at the spa or use the 18-hole putting course and tennis courts. Beyond dining across dozens of venues, the resort weaves in culture through the SAKA Museum, the six-hectare Tevana Garden, and the AYANA Farm's farm-to-bar workshops. With 14 swimming pools and a private Kubu Beach, note the resort operates cashless as of June 2025.

our review

Ninety hectares, fourteen pools, thirty restaurants and bars. AYANA is less a hotel than a small district, and Rock Bar on the cliff edge is the piece everyone comes for. We would give it a whole evening rather than squeeze it in after dinner.

The estate rewards people who intend to stay inside it. There is a seawater thalassotherapy pool at the spa, an 18-hole putting course, and the SAKA Museum, which TIME named one of the World's Greatest Places in 2024. Rooms face the ocean or the garden. The flip side is distance: moving between your room, the sand and Rock Bar means shuttles and planning. Anyone using a hotel as a base for exploring Bali will pay for a great deal they never touch.
