good to know before you plan
June is a great week in Seminyak if you plan it and a frustrating one if you do not. The difference between booking your beach club and your two best dinners in advance, and trying to sort them on the day, is the difference between a lovely trip and a week of queueing.
The thing I would drop in June is the Canggu day trip. In April it is a pleasant twenty-minute run. In high season it can eat three hours of your day in traffic for a beach that is not better than the one outside your hotel. Save it for a quieter month.
Bali in June: A 7-Day Seminyak and Canggu Itinerary
June gives Seminyak its best weather of the year. Clear skies, low humidity, and a sunset that arrives on schedule every evening. Everything the strip was built for now works exactly as intended.
The consequence is that everyone wants it at once. From June the beach clubs fill, particularly at weekends, and the front-row daybeds go to whoever booked rather than whoever turned up. The restaurants want a reservation. The road to Canggu becomes a genuine ordeal in the late afternoon. Seminyak in June is excellent, and it is no longer spontaneous.
Perfect evenings, and the daybed you want is already booked
June
Week 4

day by day
Seminyak base. In June, decide whether Canggu is worth a day at all, because that road in high season can take an hour each way in the afternoon.
Day 1: Arrive, check in, straight down for sunset.
Day 2: Full beach club day. Book the bed in advance in June, especially at a weekend.
Day 3: Spa in the morning, then the best restaurant of the trip. Reserve this one before you fly.
Day 4: Uluwatu day trip. Leave early and make a day of it rather than rushing the sunset.
Day 5: Tanah Lot at sunset, leaving with plenty of margin for the road.
Day 6: Second beach club, a cooking class, or a day doing nothing at the hotel pool.
Day 7: Slow morning, late checkout, airport with extra time.

June rewards the organised
Book the room as early as you can, because Seminyak availability tightens sharply once high season starts and the best-located properties go first. Beach clubs and the better restaurants now need advance booking rather than a same-day call, particularly at weekends. A car is worth having for Uluwatu and Tanah Lot, but plan those evenings with a generous margin because high-season traffic on the coast road is genuinely unpredictable. Three links below.
frequently asked questions
What is the weather like in Seminyak in June?
Dry, warm and clear, at around 27 to 31 degrees with low humidity. June is the dry season proper, so rain is uncommon and brief. Sunsets are dependable almost every evening, which is the reason June and July are the busiest months on this stretch of coast.
Do you need to book a beach club in Bali in high season?
Yes, from June onwards, and especially for a daybed rather than a seat at the bar. The front-row beds at the larger Seminyak and Canggu clubs go to advance bookings, weekends fill first, and minimum spends apply. Turning up on the day in July usually means taking whatever is left at the back.
Is the drive from Seminyak to Canggu worth it in high season?
Often not. The road is short in distance and heavily congested from the afternoon onwards, so a twenty-minute drive can take an hour or more in June through August. If you want Canggu, go early in the morning and come back before three, or save the trip for a quieter month.
