Full Description

Devdan, Treasure of the Archipelago is a theatrical production staged at the Bali Nusa Dua Theatre, built around Indonesia's cultural diversity rather than Bali alone.

Over roughly 70 minutes, the show moves through several islands, Sumatra, Java, Kalimantan, Bali, and Papua, using traditional dance and costume alongside acrobatics, music, and stage effects. The format leans more toward a big-production spectacle than a traditional cultural performance, aiming for broad appeal across ages.

Seating comes in a few tiers, from standard view up to VIP recliner seats with a chance to take photos with performers on stage afterward.

Our Review

Be clear about what this is. Devdan is a big-production stage show covering Sumatra, Java, Kalimantan, Bali and Papua, using acrobatics and stage effects alongside traditional dance. It is spectacle rather than a temple performance, and it does not pretend otherwise.

That makes it the easy answer for a mixed group, and an air-conditioned theatre is a real argument in its favour after a hot day. Seventy minutes seated is a long stretch for very young children. Pickup covers only Category A and B bookings around ITDC, Tanjung Benoa and Sawangan, and shuttle requests close at 1pm on the day. We would settle the transport question before choosing a seat tier.
