February has the lowest prices and the fewest people of any month in Kuta, around $80 to $160 per person across the five days. If a quiet strip and a cheap room are the priority, nothing else on the calendar competes.
It is also the wettest month, with rain that can settle in for a whole afternoon, and the beach carries the same debris problem as January. Inland Bali is at its greenest, which is a good argument for using a Kuta base and driving out. We rate February for value and for the surf, and we would not build a beach holiday around it.

Five days is the sweet spot for one region of Bali, and this plan spends all of it on Kuta and Legian. February is the wettest, quietest, cheapest month, with rain that can settle in for the afternoon.
You stay on the Kuta and Legian strip and let it come to you: the beach and the surf in the mornings, the water park on a quieter day, Jalan Legian after dark, and one run south to Uluwatu for the cliffs and the Kecak dance. Everything else is a walk away.

The cheapest week of the year on the busiest beach
Room first. February is the bottom of Kuta's yearly pricing, and the difference between a basic hotel and a beachfront one is smaller now than it will ever be, so compare properly before you book. Surf lessons and Waterbom can be arranged a day ahead rather than weeks, though the early surf slot is worth reserving because the water is cleanest then.
