A week in March catches that improvement in progress, which means the back half is usually better than the front. It is the last month of low-season pricing, around $110 to $220 per person, and you can still take a good daybed on the day. Nyepi closes the island completely for a full day somewhere in the month. We would book the second half of March and check the Nyepi date before anything else.

The cloud that sat over the coast through January and February starts breaking up, and by the second half of the month you can reasonably expect to see the sun go into the sea rather than into a grey bank.
What makes March worth targeting is that the prices have not moved yet. The beach clubs are open and no longer empty but nowhere near full. The best restaurants will still take a booking within a few days. You are getting most of the dry-season experience at something close to the low-season rate, and that window closes in May.

Seminyak as the base, one day in Canggu. March traffic is still manageable, which makes the Tanah Lot sunset run worth doing properly.
Day 1: Arrive, check in, straight to the beach for sunset.
Day 2: Full beach club day. March is the first month you can reliably expect the evening to deliver.
Day 3: Canggu. Berawa beach and the cafes, back before the afternoon.
Day 4: Spa, then a long dinner somewhere you would need to book weeks ahead in August.
Day 5: Tanah Lot at sunset. Leave early, the road west is slower than it looks.
Day 6: Second beach club, or a cooking class if the sky turns.
Day 7: Slow morning, late checkout, airport.
If Nyepi falls during your stay, the day before belongs to the Ogoh-Ogoh parades and the day itself is spent inside your accommodation. Shift everything above by one day.

March is the last month of low-season pricing
Book the room now rather than later, because March is the final month before Seminyak's rates start their climb towards high season. Check where Nyepi falls first, since everything closes for that day. Beach clubs can still be arranged on the day this month, though the better ones are worth a call ahead at weekends. A car is worth it for Tanah Lot and the Canggu day, both of which are unpleasant on a scooter if a shower catches you. Three links below.

What is the weather like in Seminyak in March?

When do Bali's beach clubs get busy?
