Double Six Beach, running from Jalan Melasti to Jalan Werkudara, is Legian's most laid-back central stretch of sand, wide enough for casual beach volleyball or soccer, with plenty of space to simply walk or sunbathe. It's less crowded than central Kuta but close enough to Legian's beachside cafes and bars for a drink afterward.
Late afternoon into sunset is the best window to visit, when the heat eases and the sky turns over the water. Many visitors combine the beach time with a walk along the shore toward Kuta or Seminyak, since the sand runs continuously between them.
