A week costs around $180 to $300 per person, at or near the annual peak, and accommodation wants booking two to three months out. Central Ubud is congested and the well-known sites are full. Seven days is long enough to work around that by going early and going wide. We would stay out in the valley rather than in the centre, which is the single change that makes July here bearable.

Prices are at or near their annual peak. You are paying the most for the most certain weather, which is a fair trade if your dates are fixed and a poor one if they are not.

One base in Ubud, and start every day early. In July the difference between leaving at seven and leaving at nine is the difference between a good day and a queue.
Day 1: Arrive, settle, eat. Book anything you care about for later in the week tonight.
Day 2: Temples, starting at opening. Tirta Empul by seven is a different place from Tirta Empul at ten.
Day 3: Campuhan Ridge Walk at first light. Genuinely first light, not eight.
Day 4: Tegalalang at opening, then the craft villages at Mas, which stay quiet all day.
Day 5: Waterfall day, at opening again. The car parks are full by ten in July.

July needs booking months ahead, not days
Book the room now if your dates are anywhere near July, because peak-season availability in Ubud disappears months out and the properties that remain are rarely the ones you wanted. Activities need the same treatment, since guided walks, workshops and small-group tours fill weeks ahead.
