An intimate micro-roastery and café destination in Sanur
SETA Coffee Studio is a micro-roastery and cafe in Sanur, roasting Bali-grown coffee in small batches and selling beans only in store.
Co-founder Jafni Zul Fahmi handled the design, which blends Japanese and Indonesian references in a facade of wood, red brick and bamboo thatch. Co-founder Aidan Broderick brings the specialty coffee side, and the machine is a replica Faema E-61 Legend. The room is small, so it is set up for drinking a cup properly rather than working for hours.

It was set up by an architect and a coffee specialist, and both halves of that show: the room is considered, the brewing is exacting, and the whole thing is smaller than most people expect. This is a place to sit and drink one cup properly rather than to work from for three hours. We come here when the coffee itself is the reason for going out.
