An intimate micro-roastery and café destination in Sanur
A true micro-roastery, this intimate café in Sanur may be small but it is full of character. For those who consider themselves coffee connoisseurs, SETA Coffee Studio serves beans only available in-store, roasting tiny batches of Bali-grown coffee that promise unique flavors and top quality.
Even if you’re not in the ‘bean scene’, SETA’s rustic design makes it worth a visit. Envisioned by co-founder Jafni Zul Fahmi, the café is an artistic gift to the neighborhood. With a blend of Japanese and Indonesian styles, the façade is a mosaic of wood, red brick, and bamboo thatch.
When it comes to roasting and brewing, co-founder Aidan Broderick lends his expertise in Indonesian specialty coffee. SETA’s replica “Faema E-61 Legend” coffee machine promises a beautiful brew. Small, intimate, and artisanal, drop in for a cool vibe and a really tasty cup of fresh coffee.

Plan your Sanur stay around SETA Coffee Studio
SETA Coffee Studio sits in Sanur, so start with hotel prices and pick a base along the calm Sanur beachfront. Then look at activity packages, since a fast boat to the Nusa Islands and a day's diving are easy to add to the trip. Finally, price a car: it is handy for day trips inland, even if the beachfront path is best cycled. The three links below go straight to each.
A roastery small enough that the beans are only sold where they are roasted. SETA works in tiny batches of Bali-grown coffee, which means what you drink in Sanur is not available anywhere else on the island.
It was set up by an architect and a coffee specialist, and both halves of that show: the room is considered, the brewing is exacting, and the whole thing is smaller than most people expect. This is a place to sit and drink one cup properly rather than to work from for three hours. We come here when the coffee itself is the reason for going out.
